firkin Posted December 23, 2002 Report Share Posted December 23, 2002 I have an internal Sony SDT 9000 (firmware 6.1), Retrospect 5.0238, Adaptec 2930U Scsi card fitted in a PowerMac G4 867 Dual Processor, OSX 10.2.3. Everything has been working fine until a week or so ago. Suddenly after backing up one file Retrospect just freezes up and won't back up any more. Eventually I get an error 502-trouble writing to media. I have to forc-quit the application. Retrospect then cannot see the tape drive again until after a restart. I have tried different media and the outcome is the same. I had not made any changes to the scsi setup before this problem occurred. I have since upgraded from 10.2.2 to 10.2.3 to see if this made any difference, but it didn't. Suggestions please!!!
