mmanya
Without upgrading, would my best bet for copying my C drive to an external hard drive be to first duplicate it and then backup the registry ? Would this give me my ENTIRE C-drive on the external hard drive ? ( I have the 5.15 version which came with my Buslink 60HD ) * then would you make a disaster disk? I have no idea what would be the best thing to do in this situation - I thought it would be *easy*, when I bought the external HD ... *smile* Thank You ! AmyJ
Having the ability to do an entire disk backup of your C: drive with version 5.15 will depend on two factors: 1. How much data you have to backup 2. The file system allowed by the operating system If you are using Win95, Win98 or WinME, you can only format the destination drive as FAT or FAT32 (please see the following Knowledgebasecolor=blue> article for complete details: http://www.dantz.com/index.php3?SCREEN=kbase&ACTION=KBASE&id=27235 A disaster recovery CD cannot be built until there is a backup of the boot volume (C:). A complete backup will need to be available - should you ever need to use the DR CD. Disaster recovery cannot use a duplicate.
