phredd
I'm getting the following error while trying to run a normal backup: - 12/13/2002 2:20:09 PM: Copying BIG_DRIVE (C:) on LOWER_ALPHA 12/13/2002 2:20:09 PM: Connected to LOWER_ALPHA Can't add that much data to backup set. The limit is 1000.0 G. 12/13/2002 2:20:30 PM: Execution incomplete. Remaining: 14151 files, 1014.7 GB Completed: 0 files, zero KB Performance: 0.0 MB/minute Duration: 00:00:21 (00:00:21 idle/loading/preparing) I'm running Retrospect Server 5.0.238 on an iMac dedicated to backups. Backup medium is a VXA-1 firewire tape drive. The client is a Windows 95 machine (which has had the TCP/IP hot patch recommended from the README installed). The drive in question has just 1.68 gigs on it, NOT just over a terabyte. Version of Win95 is: 4.00.950 B And after moving that drive lower in the queue, I've found that the other partitions on this computer can be backed up. All are currently holding less than 1 GB though. My googling and searching on dantz.com haven't turned up anything about this particular problem. Any ideas? Thank you! CallMeDave
In reply to: My googling and searching on dantz.com haven't turned up anything about this particular problem. Try looking here on this Forum board. It was discovered and discussed about a month ago. Dave (who's eating lunch and doesn't have time to search for it himself right now...) phredd
Try looking here on this Forum board. It was discovered and discussed about a month ago. Well, I did that before I posted. Nothing. Did it again, at your suggestion. Nothing. Any suggestions for keyword? 34, 1000, 1000.0, 1000 GB, cuts and pastes from the log entry, terabyte, windows 95, VXA-1. Nothing related to this appears. thanks
phredd
I also got the latest set of media drivers. Had no effect. If this issue has been addressed in the forums, please point me to it. I've searched them thoroughly and have found nothing relevant. thank you. AmyJ
Do a search on your Windows machine for any files named Finder.dat. When you find them, throw them away. You'll need to configure your PC to view hidden files in the Folder Options.
