Wileym
Are the Maxtor One-Touch (5000 series) external USB drives fully supported by Professional 6? Are there any "gotcha's" I should be aware of before investing in Maxtor's products? I understand that the "One-Touch" feature only supports the Express version of Retrospect. Will Pro 6 handle Win98 and XP Pro on a home LAN (Linksys)? Thanks.
AmyJ
Retrospect 6.0 is compatible with the Maxtor drive as a standard hard drive for a backup destination. However, the One-Touch button functionality is not compatible. Yes, Retro Pro 6.0 can fully backup and restore Win98 and WinXP. Professional comes bundled with two client licenses for backup across your network. The clients will need to be on the same subnet, have the ability to ping each other, and the router must support multicast broadcast.
