gfouras
Greetings: I recently bought a 17" iMac and I have been using Retrospect for several years now. In an effort to transfer my old files to my new computer, I was going to use a restore function to a folder on the new computer. However, Retrospect would not do this and gave me a "No devices found" error. I ran a device scan and the internal drive was recognized. Here is what my configuration is: Upgraded to Retrospect 5.0.238 iMac running Mac OS 10.2 system profile states: disc burning supported ATAPI DVD-RW-GCA-4020B vendor HL-DT-ST My suspicion is that the 5.0 driver does not recognize this drive yet. Is this the case? If so, when is an update expected. If not, is there a workaround? George
AmyJ
This drive is not yet supported for use with Retrospect. For a list of currently qualified devices, please see: Hardware Search Enginecolor=blue> Dantz goes through a rigorous qualification process with every drive we test. This means that not every drive will be qualified and we can never guarantee that a particular device will be supported. Some drives do not get qualified ever, and some take 6 months to a year to get support. We have no way of telling if this drive will be supported or not at this moment. We add device support often though, so do check back with our Hardware Compatibility list.
