c5nest
Just upgraded to Retrospect 6.0 Pro for Dell Precision 530 running Win XP Pro. Retrospect will not recognize (not shown on device scan) Philips DVD+RW-D28 (listed by Dantz as qualified hardware). Drive reads & writes fine under DVD-It & Roxio Easy CD-Creator & appears on desktop as E: drive. Retrospect seems to function fine backing up to disk file on external Maxtor USB drive. Thanks, Cnest
AmyJ
Go to Configure > Devices > Environment - is the drive listed here? If so, please list Vendor, Product and Version. Make sure no other burning programs are open, and that there are no pre-formatted CD's in the drive. Make sure you are logged in with Administrative rights (ie: your user account has administrative access).
