GCSJoel
When backing up Windows clients from OSX 5.0 Server I get error '4096 Unknown' on Outlook PST files. I have a feeling its because they are 'open'. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
AmyJ
How big are the .pst files? Retrospect for the Macintosh cannot currently backup files larger then 2 gig though the Windows Client software. We are actively working on improved support for Windows Clients. GCSJoel
Any PST file cannot be backed up regardless of size. Our average PST is only 50-200 MB. I heard in another thread that if the user has the email notifier on this locks access to the PST.
bsauterel
I have the same issue (my pst file is 175 Mb). Any news ?
AmyJ
Is the PST file open or closed during backup? Retrospect for Macintosh does not have the ability to close the file before backup. Do you see the same error when Outlook is closed? If so, confirm that Outlook is completely closed by checking the processes. I have seen many instances where Outlook is shut down manually, yet the Outlook.exe process is still running in the list of running Processes.
