Malcolm Posted December 2, 2002 Report Share Posted December 2, 2002 I'm getting a 206 error (media failure) from within Retrospect 5.0 (version 5.0.238) for Mac. I'm using Mac OSX (10.2.1) on an 867 MHz G4 Powerbook with 768 MB of ram. I just installed an Onstream Echo 30 firewire tape drive. I'm able to create a backup set and successfully (I think) scan and copy all of the files to the tape from my hard drive. However, immediately after the last file is copied, Retrospect reports the 206 error and will not continue. This is a brand-new out-of-the-box drive with freshly-opened tape media. (I've tried the backup 2x, each time with fresh media, with the same result.) Please advise. . . Thanks in advance for your help!
