Exabyte 110L - No slots found

Recommended Posts

Dear Support

I have a issue with a client that purchased the Exabyte 110LTO

autoloader.

The client is running Retrospect 5.0 Workgroup on a MAC.

Under OS X with a ATTO LVD Express Pro running a EXABYTE 110LTO

Also tried to run the Exabyte 110LTO off a ATTO UL3D and UL3S, ADAPTEC 2940UW.

PROBLEM:

Can't see any slots at all BUT does see the drive and the Library.

Here’s what we have tried:

Upgraded both DRIVE and LOADER firmware to the required ones and above (D. v. 25d4, L. v. 2.11.3,);

Tried different PCI SCSI cards (ATTO UL3D and UL3S, ADAPTEC 2940UW);

Tried different SCSI cables;

Connected 110L on its own (i.e. with no other devices connected at the same time);

Re-installed Retrospect for Workgroup v. 5;

Installed clean OS (both 9 and X);

Reset PRAM;

Swearing (in various different languages).

We have also test the 110L Exabyte Library in a NT4 Computer With Retrospec 6 and it work fine. Can see all the slots.

Have you got any idea why this is happening ?

Thanks

Brent
