denniskane
Running OS X 10.1.5 on a G4 tower from spring 2002 (not the newest). I have an ATTO Ultra scsi 3 dual channel card. Retrospect 5 can see my Ecrix Autopak OK, but can't see the Sony DDS3 auto loader (tsl-9000L) on the other channel. Tried switching channels, but no change. Maybe it's because the Sony is scsi 2? Tried fiddling wih the ATTO PCI Express tool, but didn't see any config choices. Any suggestions? Dennis Kane
denniskane
I stumbled across the answer somewhere on the Dantz site, probably the scsi compatibility page. Don't mix and match wide cards with 25/50 pin old school scsi devices. I added an Apaptec 2960 card and I can talk to my Sony DD3 autoloader OK. I will use the ATTO with my Ecrix. I'm finally beginning to see why more than just a couple of PCI slots are needed. DK
denniskane
Spoke too soon. Even after doing a media scan to verify that my tapes are OK, Backup server refuses to do anything -- keeps waiting for media. Bummer.
denniskane
Clicked on the Backup Sets tab on the Backup Server status window. Discovered I forgot to move my catalog to a location where Retro would find it. Oops. OK, I'm embarassed.
