arcade
w2k SR1 Backup v.5.6.127 panasonic dvd-rw LF-D201 disks are panasonic 4.7gb why on earth, after formatting a DVD ram disk to UDF1.5 standard, does RB try and do a disk "format" when backing up? on ALL occasions it appears to have done nothing after 30-40 mins and certainly has not started the backup. so i have tried to stop the backup by clicking the various buttons. in the end I have to resort to "end task" - but most times W2K reports the RB is not responding. so, i tried to backup across my network to the hard disk with 17gb space, (win98se - fat 32) from my W2K NTFS system. After 3.99 gb it stops with "comminucation error!"... i presume this is to do with max file sizes. How the heck I am going to get a good backup, I have no idea. Maybe someone can enlighten me about what i can do..???
arcade
further to the above: I formatted the disk (long format) in Explorer and tried again the backup after talking to David. However, despite 1 hr formatting RB still said it was "erasing" the disk, and after some time came up with an error dialog: "Assertion failure at "thread cpp-254" An internal consistency check failed Detailed technical info is being written to the file assert_log.utx" So, still no backup with this software! v5.6.
