Proactively scheduled proactive backup

Recommended Posts

I have been working with the 6.0 version of the Retrospect multiserver. I'm looking for a way to schedule the proactive backup script so that it has a preference to back clients up at 10:00 pm every night, but if for some reason a client fails to back up at that time, it will schedule it to immediately back up the following day, and then revert back to the 10:00 pm schedule automatically.

Thank you,

Aron

Proactive backups are designed to manage the client load for you. If a client doesn't get backed up the first time Retrospect looks for it, it will stay at the top of the priority list. Retrospect will backup clients in order of need. Providing you are allowing enough time for all clients to be backed up, Retrospect will try to back that client up again in the same night.
