Device Not Found

I have installed retrospect 5.15, windows and I am using a Seagate tape drive.

 

 

 

The first backup I did - everything went perfect.

 

 

 

The second backup I got the message "Sorry, No Tape Deveice Found."

 

 

 

Why?

Try a reboot. Open Retrospect and go to Configure > Devices. Is the drive seen? If not, check the Windows Device Manager - is the drive seen here? If not, Retrospect will not be able to see it. Try power cycling the drive, and reseating the cables. If it is still not seen by the computer, try the drive plugged into another computer. If no computer can see the drive, you may have a problem with the cables or the drive itself.

Thanks for the advice.

 

 

 

I tried everything and the tape drive is still not recognized.

 

 

 

The part I don't understand is why did this happen.

 

 

 

The tape drive and cables are new.

 

 

 

Do you have any other suggestions?
