Kenjikay
I am attempting to restore an entire non-startup Mac disk from backup to another disk. Each time I attempt it, the Restore Assistant stops when it has trouble writing a folder. How can I get the restore to continue? Even if there is some kind of fatal flaw with that one directory, I need as much of my data restored as possible! The exact log retrospect wrote: "Restoring from Media Set A, Snapshot /Volumes/MB 4T 1, 12/20/10 1:40:56 AM > !Trouble writing folder "/Volumes/MB 2T 1/diamonds/Diiva Archive cul 0206/(other)", error -1012 ( feature unsupported) 12/20/10 5:51:50 AM: Execution incomplete Remaining: 776642 files, 1,216.2 GB Completed: 136431 files, 246.9 GB Performance: 1,618.7 MB/minute Duration: 02:46:14 (00:10:01 idle/loading/preparing)" The folder where the Restore Assistant stopped only contained a few jpgs. In many years of using Retrospect or Retrospect Express, I think this is the first time I am doing a restore. I am really doing it to make sure that I can. The original source disk is still available and OK, luckily. Can anyone help me to understand what is happening here, and how to resolve it? Thanks!
