Express HD 2.5 error -641

Hi, whenever a backup runs I get error message:"can't access backup set DELL2, error -641 (chunk checksum failed)". Also all of my restore points seem to have disappeared. Tech Note 307 says I should re-build the catalogue using tools>repair but I guess that applies to Retrospect, not HD. Other posts in this forum also mention error -641 but the advice doesn't seem applicable. Can anyone help?
