zikoziko
I have some backup scripts. 1 of them contains scheduled backups to run starting at 8:30 at night. I have changed the preferences so that the backups can only run between 8:30pm and 7:30am (with a wind down of 1 hour) (for every day, except Saturday and Sunday) However every day (not just Saturday and Sunday), the backup is still running at 10am, at 11am, at 12noon... Shouldn't this be stopped at 7:30am and then recontinued later at 8:30pm? (I have not changed the schedule within each script). (Further info: it's always creating the snapshot at those times) Thanks.
AmyJ
If you are backing up a particularly large volume, creating a snapshot can be very time consuming. Retrospect has to track the location of each an every files, along with the NTFS permissions. Unfortunately, it is not possible to stop the snapshot creation and continue it at a later time - Retrospect must finish this operation before the backup can quit. Turning of the backup of NTFS permissions would speed up the process, however the impact would be that a restore is void of file permissions.
