error -1102 ( drive missing/unavailable)

Recommended Posts

I have a Clone script that copies the boot drive of a Mac Pro to another internal drive using the "overwrite" option every night. It works for a couple of weeks, then gives the error -1102 ( drive missing/unavailable).

When I look at the sources it now has 2 copies of my Clone drive, one with a tilde (~) next to it, and one that looks normal. The tilde seems to indicate the drive is unavailable. I delete that version of the Clone Drive and reconfigure the script using the Clone drive that appears normal.

All works again for another couple of weeks until the same thing happens again. I've tried this with 2 different drives as clones, so I highly doubt it is an issue with that drive.
