scarriere
We are backup up a MAC osx leopard snow on a SMB network shared. The machine backed up is a laptop. The user connect to other network every night. He never restart is mac. When he come back to office, his mapped drive is unconnected. Is it possible to give a command before the backup to connect the destination(smb shared) without having to reboot the computer? rhwalker
What version of Retrospect? (x.x[color:red].x) My version is 8.1 (1) Not enough information. Because you are running some unknown version of Retrospect 8.1 (need 8.1[color:red].x information), both the version of the Retrospect engine and the Retrospect console are needed. (2) Because you are running Retrospect 8.1.x, you need to post in the Retrospect 8 forum to get an answer for this question. This is the forum for Retrospect 6.x. Yes, the forum names are confusing, but I doubt that they will ever be changed. Others have asked. Here is the link to the Retrospect 8 forum: Retrospect 8 forum (3) The answer to this is covered in the manual. Oh, forgot, there is no manual. You might want to contact EMC Retrospect support for an answer. At some point, when the support burden becomes too great because of the lack of any user manual, perhaps the priority for a user manual will increase (or perhaps that project will be given some priority).
