Fregly
I have retrospect version 7.6 running on windows xp 64bit. It backs up computers fine, no issue there. However whenever I open it to look at the operations log and such, then try exiting, the program freezes. The process says "exiting..." on the bottom left of the window, however it never closes. Anyone know what the problem may be?
Fregly
I upgraded to version 7.7 and the problem persists. I cannot close the retrospect window, and the only way to close it is to do a hard reset of my computer. This is very frustrating.
poorman
I wonder if the removable storage drive(s) on your machine are having trouble with the eject command. You could try turning off the preference to eject media on exit and see that avoids the problem. -- Pete
Fregly
I just realized that retrospect is unable to update now because of this issue, since hotfixes require it to restart, and a hard reset does not let retrospect reboot. How can I update retrospect if it won't close and restart? I tried changing the option pete suggested and it did not fix the issue.
