JeffNY
I have Retrospect 6.1.230 is this where I post questions for that? I see a forum for "Retrospect 8" and "Retrospect 5 and older".....but none for Retrospect 6.....hummm....maybe the moderator could label the forums better? Well, here is my question.....every time I do a backup I get the errors below from Retrospect for these Palm files. Is it because the file names include odd characters? Thanks Jeff ======= Can't read file “J:dische Feiertage.vcsâ€, error -43 (file/folder not found), path: “Disk 2 (OS X)/Applications/Palm/Holiday Files/Deutsch/J:dische Feiertage.vcsâ€. rhwalker
I have Retrospect 6.1.230 is this where I post questions for that? Yes. maybe the moderator could label the forums better? You aren't the first to make that suggestion... Well, here is my question.....every time I do a backup I get the errors below from Retrospect for these Palm files. Is it because the file names include odd characters? Could be. You might want to add a Selector exclusion rule to exclude files where the path name starts with (or perhaps contains) "Disk 2 (OS X)/Applications/Palm/Holiday Files/" You will have to do a bit of futzing around with the selector, compare other selector rules. I seem to remember that there is something odd about "path name starts with" and path names, whether you have to have the trailing "/" and whether you have to have the leading "/", especially with mounted volumes.
