Kathleen
Our backup server script stopped running. We created a new one in its place and it ran two nights as scheduled, but did not run after that. According to the log, the backup server starts and stops as scheduled, but no machines are backed up during the scheduled period and no errors are reported. When checking it this weekend, I stopped and started the server manually to try to kick it loose. The server started again, picked up the script it was supposed to run and looked like it was running. It checked the status of a number of clients, but when it found one that was ready for backup, it stopped. Action field indicated "Preparing to execute", but that was it. Tried manually stopping and starting Retrospect launch service without effect. Also tried reinstalling autolaunch, again without effect. Logged on to the server with administrative privileges but it still wouldn't run. Scripts have previously run fine. First time we have seen this behavior. The client it stopped on has been backed up numerous times before. Also, is it significant that when we check the script either with preview or verify we get message no scripts are defined/scheduled? It is a backup server script. We are running Retrospect Server 5.6 on Windows 2000 SP3. Clients consist of Macs and PCs. Any help would be appreciated.
