MNDantzer Posted September 21, 2009 Report Share Posted September 21, 2009 Hi I'm a long time user of Retrospect on a Mac. I use it for backup of my home workstation. I've gone from CDR to Zip to DVDR. I also do some hard drive based backup but my primary use and requirement is backup to removable media. I've grown tired of the inability of Retrospect and OS X to play nice together with access to optical drives. I wish to discontinue optical backups. I do not wish to go to traditional hard drive for my primary backup. The Iomega Rev system looks promising but I was among those caught up in the Zip drive click of death.
