kabolzer
The last year I always made a backup on an external harddisk with retrospect express. Now I have reinstalled my pc and try to acces the backup form the new installed retrospect express 2.5 HD. I tried everything that the knowledgebase is saying deleting .rbc files restarting and selecting backup maintenance but the software wont recreate my .rbc files from the existing rdb files but creates a new rbc file with "computername"and a number. In my case Peterlaptop1. It also creates a empty directory in the restrospect directory with the same name. How can i acces the existing backup and recreate the rbc file with my restore points? kabolzer
Due to a post i saw in another topic i tried sometyhing else. I used to work with the mass storage as a NAS and now i connected the hard-disk by the USB interface. Now Retrospect is able to reconstruct the catalog file and my restore points are available. My problem is solved.
