lramseyaapg
Just installed a new iMac. Installed Retrospect Client 6.1.130, then went to the server to add the backup script. This Mac shows up in the Configure window, it shows up in the Scripts window, but when I try to select a source in the Backup Script window, in the Volume Selection, it is listed but will not find the Mac to make it a source for the script. I have deleted it and reinstalled it several times. Please help.
rhwalker
Just installed a new iMac. Installed Retrospect Client 6.1.130, then went to the server to add the backup script. Are you positive about that Client version? What version of Retrospect on the Server? Some client versions don't work with some Retrospect versions. See current Retrospect 6.x client and server versions (and updates) here: Retrospect 6.x updates Russ
lramseyaapg
The Retrospect Server is 6.1.138. Earlier we had updated it and found it did not work with our OS. We are using OS 10.5.7. The client 6.1.130 does work with our OS and server. It is just this one Mac I am having trouble with. Thanks. Linda
rhwalker
See if you have port 497 blocked on that new Mac's firewall. The Retrospect Server is 6.1.138. Earlier we had updated it and found it did not work with our OS. We are using OS 10.5.7. The client 6.1.130 does work with our OS and server. That's odd, I really have never heard that.
