little question about restoring

hi there,

 

i like to know the following :

 

when i choose normal backup to my lto ultrium 4 drive, retrospect makes an incremental backup, ok.

 

i read something about snapshots. i understand it this way : retrospect makes an snapshot of the device wich where backup on every time retrospect makes an backup. i make an normal backup every day in the evening. now the question :

 

i have made an file on monday the first of january. so the weeks goes on. then next week on tuesday, the 09. january i recognize that my lovely file is broken because someone killed it on monday the 08. january. is it now possible that i am searching for the file wich was backuped on the 01. january and recover it ? (my backup runs every day, so the backup have runned 8 times)
