rhwalker Posted March 31, 2009 Report Share Posted March 31, 2009 Whichever client you use, it won't be able to back up the cyrus email database if the Xserve is running the mail service. For that, you should use something like the freeware mailbfr, which will stop the mail service, checkpoint the mail database, restart the mail service. Then exclude the cyrus email database, etc., from Retrospect backup, and back up the checkpointed copy.
