MJH Posted December 16, 2008 Report Share Posted December 16, 2008 Anyone familiar with Drobo? I was thinking that would it be possible to have 2 sets of hard drives (= 2 backup sets) for one Drobo? I mean that I'd have discs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6. Discs 1, 2 & 3 would contain Backup Set A. Discs 4, 5 & 6 would contain Backup Set B. I'd do a full backup on set A using Drobo and then take the discs (1, 2 & 3) off-site and then do a full backup on set B with that same Drobo. Then back to A again and so on. Ie. I'd like the 2 sets of 3 discs act as 2 separate drives (just like I have now 2 750GB fw-discs). I've understood that it wouldn't be possible with regular RAID-devices. Anyone knows if it's possible?
