What versions of Retrospect are compatible with my Macintosh operating system?

Retrospect Express:

4.0- OS 8.x

4.1- OS 8.x

4.1A- OS 8.x

4.1E- OS 8.x and OS 9.x

4.2- OS 8.x and OS 9.x

4.3- OS 8.x and OS 9.x

5.0- OS 9.x and Mac OS 10.1.2 to 10.1.5

Retrospect Desktop Application:

4.0- OS 8.x

4.1- OS 8.x

4.1A- OS 8.x

4.2- OS 8.x and OS 9.x

4.3- OS 8.x and OS 9.x

5.0- OS 9.x and Mac OS 10.1.2 to 10.1.5

All of the above versions of Retrospect Client will work with Mac OS 7.x

For Removables Disk backup sets; if you are running 4.1A or earlier under OS 9.x you will get error an error 100, bad backup set header error or similar error. Tape drives will most likely work, however it has not been tested, so it is highly recommended that users upgrade to 4.3 or later
