TorontoUser Posted August 23, 2008 Report Share Posted August 23, 2008 (edited) This is more of an FYI only post really. For those of us with Maxtor 1-Touch II External USB drives. Maybe I'm dumb but although I use Retrospect Express HD 2 fine in Vista I could never get the Maxtor 1-Touch Utility to work in Vista. I just discovered that the Maxtor 1-Touch III software works just fine and dandy in Vista and evokes Restrospect Express HD in the normal manner. It will even do backups by itself without the RE HD software, but only to the external drive. Without RE HD one can't select which drive to backup to. I posted several times in these forums about the problems in Vista and never once did anyone suggest using Maxtor 1-Touch III software.
