Cannot delete a backup file called "M[1]"??????

Recommended Posts

I have Retrospect Express V6.5.342

I did a manual backup of Drive C many months ago onto my backup G Drive (WD external hard drive). Trying to gain more space on my G drive, I tried to delete this backup set. I can delete everything but two files the system won't recoginze, which are deeply embedded in a chain of folders.

The two files have the same name m[1]. and are located in the following folders:

G:\Retrospect Backup\Backup of Drive C ©\Documents and Settings\User Name\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\A38WUH8E

and

G:\Retrospect Backup\Backup of Drive C ©\Documents and Settings\User Name\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\3ZDWBDBH

When I try to delete the files (or folders above them) I get the following Windows error message, "Cannot delete the file: Cannot read from the source file or disk."

Can you help?!
