mobcarmedia
I have been messing about with the 5.6 Desktop Back for Windows with my Conner CTD-8000R-S 4mm backup drive and it had been working wonderfully on my SCSI card. I recently got the Adaptec USBXchange SCSI-to-USB adapter, and installed the trial on my laptop. I was able to get Windows 2000 to install the USBXchange drivers perfectly, and my tape drive shows up in the Device Manager AND the Microsoft Backup program... BUT Retrospect reports no backup devices found. Is there a known (or unknown) issue here?
AmyJ
Retrospect does not support the use of any SCSI-USB converters. It's very likely that the converter is not properly passing the device's information to the operating system. In any case, I'm afraid that this configuration is not supported with Retrospect.
