EZQuest Pro-Mar Drives Don't Show up

Recommended Posts

I have formatted the drives according to the manufacture's instructions. I have installed Retrospect workgroup also according to the manufacture's instructions. I am running OS X 10.1.5 on a Titanium G4 and for some reason the firewire drive shows up on my desktop and with the system profiler but not in the device panel in Retrospect. On your website it says that hard drives won't show up in this window. But when I try and Rescan in device status nothing shows up either. I am stumped and the drive according to your database is compatible. The drives seem to be connected properly. I am wondering what to do next, before I scap the whole thing and just back up by hand.

Hard drives don't need to show up in the device window -- that's completely normal. It *should* show up in the Configure > Volumes window, though.

To back up to it, create a new FILE backup set, and, when asked where you want to save it, navigate through until you get to the external drive.

This tutorial, on our website, has detailed instructions and screenshots:
