esinger Posted July 24, 2003 Report Share Posted July 24, 2003 I'm using Retrospect Express Backup 5.0.238, LaCie d2 CD-RW 52x24x52 (LTR-52246S version) drive, Mac OS 9.2.2. I'm trying to append to a previously created set. Partway through the scanning process, I get the following error, on-screen and in the log, and the backup gets aborted: ? Retrospect Express version 5.0.238 launch at 7/24/2003 11:50 AM + Retrospect Driver Update, version 3.6.106 Error: Scanning incomplete, error -120 (folder not found). What's wrong? AmyJ Posted July 30, 2003 Report Share Posted July 30, 2003 What are you trying to scan? The local drive? A mounted volume? Does the error occur each time? For testing purposes, try setting up subvolumes of the folders on the root level of your drive and scanning them individually to see if the problem area can be isolated. If the problem appears to occur on a specific folder, look for inconsistencies such as malformed names of files / folders. Try running Disk First Aid and/or another disk utility (such as Norton, Tech Tools, or Disk Warrior) to check the health of the system.
