samcomet Posted July 2, 2002 Report Share Posted July 2, 2002 friends, i've got a yamaha crw 8824s and RE 4.2 driver v 1.9....RE cannot read the yammie as an available record drive, but it DOES read as existing in the "device status" window. restarts aside (have tried all that) anyone got any ideas? Roxio Toast seems to "see" it ok. thanks & cheers! sam ps tried to install the v4.3 update/upgrade, but the installer could not "find" the "default location" of RE to upgrade/date. any thoughts? AmyJ Posted July 2, 2002 Report Share Posted July 2, 2002 This drive is supported with version 4.3. Older versions will not work with this drive. A few notes about updating to Retrospect 4.3: 1. Make sure you're running the correct updater. There are two 4.3 updaters on the Dantz Updates page, one for Retrospect Desktop and Workgroup, and one for Retrospect Express. Make sure you are using the correct one. 2. If you're sure you're using the correct 4.3 updater, please try reinstalling Retrospect from the original CD to the default location.
