cattan
I just purchased a vxa-1 drive with retrospect 4.3 with the latest driver 2.5.101 Retrospect is having trouble recognizing the drive . I am running on an apple G4 450mhz dual processor with system 9.2.2. System profile recognizes the drive but retrospect can't find it. All other fire wire devices work fine. I have also try turning all extensions off but the base 9.2.2 and retrospect and still no luck. I also did a clean install on a separate hard drive and then install retrospect, still drive not found. Retrospect works with the vxa-1 drive on my other single G4 450 mhz machine but not in the double processor machine. Is there a conflict with dual processor machines. What can I do? Getting desperate Please advice Thank You
Guest
The FIreWire VXA drive requires the following extensions: -Retrospect 4.3 or 5.x -Retrospect FireWire Support version 1.1.1 -SCM FW SCSI Driver version 1.1.1 These extensions are installed by the Retrospect installer. If you do not have them, run the installer again. You may want to choose Custom Install and install only those components you need.
