I am having type 1 error problems too. I am using Express 5.0.205 on a PowerMac 8600/250 with a Newer G4/400 card running OS 9.1. I too have tried changing the extensions using Conflict Catcher without any success. I have tried backups to a LaCie 60GB Firewire and to Zip Disks. The result is type 1 errors. I have tried adjusting the memory allocation and I have quit all programs before running Express. No success. With the many postings with the same problem, it would be nice for someone from Dantz to step up with a solution. As an experiment I tried Express on my iBook running OSX and it works fine.

Irena Solomon of Dantz Tech Support is checking into the Type 1 error dilemma. Go to the bottom of the thread and reply with all your system details. Maybe they'll finally fix this bug!!
