sponnath
Although I am a brand new user of Retrospect (other XP backup software didn't work at all), I have used a lot of backup software over the years. I haven't seen how this package makes life simple. I seem to have a more complex scheme with Retrospect than I did the other packages. It seems that although there are other ways to backup files, people (clients) seem to respond better to full and incremental backup schemes where they know what is backed up and how to restore it. "FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DANTZ REDEFINES BACKUP WITH RETROSPECT 6.0 ORINDA, CA—June 25, 2002—Dantz Development Corporation..... Retrospect eliminates the need to implement intricate backup strategies involving multiple backup tapes, sequences of full, incremental, or differential backups, and constant revisions to backup scripts which traditional backup products require to achieve reliable data protection. Retrospect takes care of the details so the administrator’s job is much easier."
