No OsX Client on 5.6 CD

When I purchased Retrospect Workgroup 5.6 (windows server) I was assured that it would be able to accomidate OsX clients. When the Boxed CD came there were only win and Ox8/9 clients. So I was told to download the OsX cleints, which I have done, but I can't get to work with the server.

 

 

 

Here's what happens

 

I have 3 win cllients backing up happly, along with the server(win2K Workgroup Edition Version 5.6.127).

 

 

 

Install seams to go fine on OsX client.

 

 

 

Boot into OsX 10.1.4 (G4 Ti Book)

 

 

 

Open Client App (5.0.528) and it says "On" and "Waiting for first Access"

 

 

 

Over in the Server I try to add client and it does not show up.

 

 

 

I press test, enter in IP address and get the following error

 

"Cant Access Client at "w.x.y.z"

 

error -512 (incompatible version)"

 

 

 

 

 

In another test, I installed the classic 4.3 client. The controle panel was open and saying "waiting for first access" I tried to add the cleint. The server first didn't show the client's presence. The I pressed "Test" entered in the IP address and the server said that if found the client in the little dialog box, but when I pressed "OK" the client still did not appear in the available client list.
