dmccartney
We have a user that refuses to use Outlook in any form and does all his messaging through pop3/smtp, and now we need to find some messages that he has sent using his account, through the smtp portion of Exchange server, to both internal and external people. We're using Retrospect 7 with Exchange 2003, and I'm trying to find out if there's a way to restore the traffic that has passed through the SMTP portion of Exchange. When I went to restore the user's messages, nothing was in his Sent Items. I also couldn't find much in my searches on the documentation and the web. I'm assuming this would happen through Retrospect and not just Exchange itself. But, I'm rusty on my Exchange, so if I'm missing something obvious, feel free to speak up as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
AmyJ
Mail sent through a POP account would be in the Sent Items in his local Outlook PST file. You won't find it in his Exchange mailbox.
