mikesm Posted August 28, 2007 Report Share Posted August 28, 2007 Folks, we have a old SBS 2003 server that is starting to have some odd problems with it that could indicate some hardware issues. If it fails, can I use retrospect disaster recovery to restore to a different hardware platform? The current server is an old 2001 hardware based system, and I can't really buy a new one of those to replace stuff too. Migrating SBS 2003 to new hardware is a real pain, which is why we've kept running on the old platform so long. With enough time, we can probably figure out how to migrate stuff, but if it completely fails, it would be great if disaster recovery could restore to new hardware. Anyone done this before?
