Bonypony
I have 7.5 under XP. I have a single backup set backing up 4 source volumes. Will Retrospect maintain file version histories or is that a function across multiple backup sets?
Bonypony
Doesn't anyone have an answer to this?
rhwalker
Quote: Will Retrospect maintain file version histories ... ? Yes, but not by modifying extensions, etc. If you search a backup set for all versions, you will see all versions of the file, even if the versions have the same name (but changed data). That's sort of the most basic thing that Retrospect does (track all changes to files and filesystem metadata).
Bonypony
Many thanks. I was concerned that I would have to maintain multiple backup sets in order to do this. Seems like I made a good decision to buy Retrospect over Acronis ...
