ActivePrime Posted July 15, 2002 Report Share Posted July 15, 2002 I am trying to get Retrospect (server) running on a sony DRX120l external firewire drive. This drive IS supported by Dantz, and I even called their customer support to double check. I am running B's Clip software to act as the UDF driver, which came with the drive. It recognizes the drive as a blank removable media, but the I try to do a backup, it errors out when attempting to erase the drive. "Cannot erase disk -error 206 (drive reported a failure: dirty heads, bad media, etc.)" I've tested the drive, disk, and UDF software in question, and it all works. Anyone else had this problem?
