Retrospect 7.5.387 under Vista Doesn't see tape drive

I followed README instructions after upgrading to Vista and successfully uninstalled and reinstalled 7.5.387 after the upgrade. It found the the IDE CD burner and SATA DVD burner, but it is not finding the IDE Seagate Travan 40 tape drive (it was working fine with this version on the same workstation under XP). How do I get my tape drive back into the list of devices? It doesn't show on the Environment tab either. However, the tape drive DOES show just fine in Windows Device manager. The tape drive is listed under supported devices. What do I need to do to make Retrospect recognize it?
