Backing up Device Configurations

Hi all,

 

I've been using Retrospect for years and consequently have many storage sets on different media (cd+, cd-, dvd+, dvd-, dvd+ r DL). I also format my C: drive about once a year which wipes out my configurations for each of these media.

 

Is there a way to maintain my device profiles so Retrospect doesn't say incompatible when I put in an older disc? I've replaced my C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Retrospect folder which contain "device*.rdl" files as well as the "devices.dll" file back into their original locations after a reinstall but it doesn't work.

 

I basically don't keep blank discs of past media on hand to reconfigure media everytime I need to access an old storage set. Any help is much appreciated.
