Retrospect can't see Mad Dog DVD drive

Recommended Posts

Windows XP Device Manager shows Mad Dog TF-DVDRW TSH652D which reads/writes perfectly with all my software EXCEPT Retrospect. Retrospect's Device Configuration shows no devices using NT Passthrough.

I'd sure appreciate some suggestions as to how I can use Retropsect with this DVD drive.

The answer is in a 6/20/02 posting by tdushane. Right-click on the ignored device, set to don't ignore, exit Retrospect (!!!), then restart it and the drive appears.

Only one remainng problem: Retrospect could not configure the Mad Dog drive using a DVD-R disc, only a DVD+R disc. The operating system and other software reads/writes DVD-R just fine.
