vergeer Posted July 12, 2002 Report Share Posted July 12, 2002 I have Retrospect and just bought a Lite-on 40125S cd rewriter (Supported by Retrospect). In the Retrospect program at configure/devices the cd rewriter is recognized (it is in the status tab and on the environment tab the driver is in bold) But when I try try to make an immediate backup, it also comes up with the status screen, but then it tells that there is no valid backup device in the computer. AmyJ Posted July 15, 2002 Report Share Posted July 15, 2002 It sounds like you may have createad the wrong type of backup set. Under Configure > Backup Sets create a new backup set which has the type: CD. Use this new backup set as your destination under Immediate > Backup. Does the problem go away?
