BigPics Posted July 12, 2002 Report Share Posted July 12, 2002 I've been using the internal DVD-RAM drive in my G4 for backup and am searching for a faster backup solution than I'm currently getting(10-15mb/min). I was thinking about the firewire DVD-R or the newer DVD+RW drives but none show in the "qualified" list for Macintosh. I am also curious if these drives are any faster than the DVD-RAM units. I have just upgraded to Retrospect 5.0 and OS X, but haven't yet used this combination for backup. My previous attempts were with Retrospect 4.3 and System 9.1.
