cgxeaglepress Posted June 4, 2007 Report Share Posted June 4, 2007 Hi all: We installed a new G5 Intel/Duo tower and Retrospect 6.1 with the Driver update won't configure the internal dvd rw. It is an Optiarc Dvd Rw AD-7170. I have thrown away the devices in the preferences and tried to configure with many different types of media but to no avail. The PowerPC G5 and the Intel Duo are two completely different architectures. Quote: If anyone has a fix or advice, please let me know or post. Either (1) get a supported device or (2) hope that EMC will eventually support your DVD.
