aksharatg Posted May 15, 2007 Report Share Posted May 15, 2007 Hi, I have been using Retrospect Multi Server (Trial version - I am evaluating the product) for the past 5 Days. My PC configuration is: AMD Athlon 1200 MHz 512 MB RAM 80 GB HDD VIA KT 133 Chipset Based MSI Mother Board OS: Windows XP Professional SP2 I have created a file backup set to back up my files. I automated this process by creating scheduled script. After 4 days I formatted and reinstalled the OS. Again I installed Retrospect. Now is it possible to use the same old backup set in my new backup script (The source location, backup destination everything is same) with out loosing its previous contents and snapshots. Please suggest me a better solution in this type of situation. Is there any way to take the backup of my retrospect configuration befroe reinstalling the operating system. stavroska Posted May 15, 2007 Report Share Posted May 15, 2007 Repair catalog recreate from tape (use the old tape) restore the configxx.dat in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Retrospect then it should be the way it was (scripts etc.) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
