dcwalker
Can anyone give me a definitive answer as to whether the OnStream Echo 30 firewire tape drive is compatible with Restrospect 5.0 running under Mac OS X? I've recently purchased this drive, upgraded to Retrospect Desktop 5.0 (running OS X) and can't get the drive to work. Before I return the drive I'd like to know if, in theory at least, this combination is supposed to work. BTW, I've checked Dantz's list of incompatible drives and they only list the OnStream USB drive as unsupported. On the other hand, when I search specifically for the firewire version (the Echo 30), it only lists Mac 9.2.2, but fails to mention OS X as either supported or unsupported for this drive. TIA, dcwalker
jaweston
I'm using the subject tape drive to back up two hard drives on a G4 Sawtooth under OS X 10.1.5. Works fine, but I'm not trying to back up any OS X computers over the network.
